School Experience Placement Canberra
We are delighted to be able to offer Ella the chance to undertake work experience with Muru in Canberra. Ella is a descendant of the Wiradjuri community and is very proud of her aboriginal heritage. She is currently completing year 10 at Newcastle High School and is an active member of the school community including the Student Representative Council and the school leadership program. She is a keen learner, thoroughly enjoys school life and has received various awards during high school including student of the year and a number of academic awards.
Recently Ella was selected to participate in the NSW Education Dept ‘Secretary for a Day’ program held over two days in Sydney. The program enables students to learn about the workings of the Education Department and participate in teams to workshop key projects with the Department of Education senior executive through a student voice engagement experience. It was a memorable experience with ongoing relationships and projects managed by partnership schools.
